DMCA / Takedown Policy
What Discogg Does
Discogg indexes links to audio and media that already exist on third-party hosts — it does not host, store, upload, or distribute any audio or media files. Every track is streamed directly from the original source. Community-maintained catalog sheets (maintained independently of Discogg) are the source of record for song metadata. All recordings, artwork, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Takedown Requests
If you are a rights holder and believe that content indexed by Discogg infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown request in two ways:
- In-app report: Use the report option on any song page. Reports are reviewed by the admin team and result in prompt removal.
- Email: Send a written DMCA notice to dmca@discogg.app. Include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work, (2) the URL(s) of the allegedly infringing content, (3) your contact information, and (4) a statement of good faith belief and authority.
Counter-Notices
If you believe content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to the address above. Counter-notices must comply with 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3).
Repeat Infringers
Discogg will, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers.
